UCSI 7th Annual Public Health Campaign, 22 June 2008, Day 3

Well, it was the final day of the PHC. As early as 11 am, we started the colouring contest for the age group of 5-8 years old. The response was overwhelming and unexpected. So, the Publicity department decided to have extra prizes to be given out. There was addition of 5 consolation prizes on top of the first 3 winners prizes sponsored by the university.

The colouring contest begans. Each of them was given 2 hours to finish up colouring on the drawing paper given. Some parents helped their children in colouring. L- Some are well prepared by bringing their own tables and own colour pencils with more colours. L- Dat was adik shazwan The kids were busy coluring.. R- She was the winner for category A (5-8 years old) L- Wonder why she looked so sad.. R- This was colouring contest for category B (9-12 y.o) which kicked in at about 4 pm. L- Oh no! This kid really disturbed me from the colouring time till the announcement of the result. Not only me, but to this Madam Saw from Nursing School. He kept telling me he gonna win the colouring contest and win over another girl which he said was his classmates. If he win, he will kill me@! I said back to him after looking to his 'pretty' drawing, if he lose, I will kill him~ During the colouring time, he kept bothered me and asked whats the prizes. If I dun tell, he wont colour. Meanwhile, during the judging time, he kept finding me and telling me he gonna win the contest and he gonna kill me.

At about 6 pm, we had a break time.. Coincidently, these bunch of people dunno from which restaurant will freeze themselves for minutes at the walkway. So, wats more.. iT was the picture time AGAIN!~

Nice photo but was not complete.. Me, MF and Victor went out of sunway Pyramid and went thru Sunway lagoon Hotel to go opposite 7-11 to buy drinks for later small celebration. Suk Yen was late to buy drinks after buying the foods.

Overall, this PHC really gave a great experience to all of us. As for me, months of preparing the exhibition slides with at least 10 times correction on the draft really made me crazy. It was an honour for me to become the emcee together with Kat, thanx for the support given by the committee members. Being in the exhibition and screening department, it was really great opportunity for me to communicate with the public where they looked us for professional advices and informations. This PHC took almost 50% of my holiday time and we had about 10++ major meeting with all and 10++ internal exhibition department meeting. The printing of the poster was a headache and the trainign time for CPR demonstration was too short. Eveything now has come to an end where hard works pay off with a good success in organising this year PHC. We had hit 1716 number of public registered for the screening.. the highest ever in the history of the PHC. This year also marked a tremendous effort between students from School of Pharmacy, Medicine and Nursing in organising the event. We had new friendship among us and hope it will not stop there. The medic students will go to KT to continue their study. It was nice working with them. Last but not least, bon voyage to all!!! This will be an unforgettable event for all..

Genting Highlands Trip- 20th June 2008, Thursday

Well, able to get a break from the crazyness in doin the PHC exhibtion slides. Luckily, able to change the next meeting on Friday not Thursday, if nt i will surely get killed. We went there using the bus service and reach very early be4 the theme park open to public at 10 am. L- Joanne, See Bee & xiao youR- me and MFai We reached about 9 am ++. So, while waiting, we got ourselves breakfast. It was my first time to have lunch boxes prepared by ourselves and ate at Genting. M Fai had cooked maggie mee with tom yam flavour and meatballs. Quite delicious. Will never forgot the moment we sat on the walkway and ate own brought cooked food in tupperware, L- xiao You, joanne and see Bee Picturing with the flying elephant.. L- M fai with his kart which can speed at least a bitR- My first time ever playing this kart in Genting out of so many visits. Normally, it will be a long queue even very early in the morning. That day we were lucky becoz a lot of karts were operating so the waiting time decreased yet need to wait about 40 minutes. When reached KL, I brought them eating at prima setapak area. we ordered quite many foods and quite full alrdy. Later on, brought them to my house to celebrate Jun Jun birthday, 2 years old alrdy. My mum cooked a lot fo food till we cannot finish them. Me and MFai sapu almost 50%. After the dinner, we headed back to our destination. me and MFai back to cheras, Cb and Joanne back to their home. Why do I need to stay in Cheras?? It was all because the enxy day, Friday, I will have another meeting with dr yeong to finlaise the exhibition slides.

3th May 2005-saturday Today, I go for test print for exhibition materials as promised to Christine. We went around 1240pm and reached there be4 1pm. 1st print was wrong print as thr is no adjusment ... 2nd print was wrong coz didnt realise they chane the font in our slides to Calibri 3rd print was uisng big font size..too crampy...REJECted 4th print was using smaller font size...quite ok 5th print was using diff spacing size.. gt 2 for comparison. Well, all i subjected for approval from Dr. yeong. The boss was weird / cute accordingly to Christine as he wear shorts above knee which v r nt used to see.. Initially, i did hear he said he charged me 0.60 cent per piece but when i paid for the printing, it was only rm 1.50 (wonder why). Then we go for lunch. called up the lazy LMF but slept until pig and didnt asnwer the phone call which rang for minutes. He actually too tired as he work very hard levelling up the previous night. After lunch, head back to condo and reahc about 2. Was too tired but did not forgot to upload pics on fren's birthday to my blog..wasted few hours initially due to internet errors.. doubling the hours time to re-post.. it was alrdy late evening. Went for dinner with the usual gang at 118 with Tomas who jus arrived back to Kl. Christine couldnt joined as she need to accompany a churchmate makan as she was alone thr..Alvin wasn't full and he proposed for yum cha.. i set the time at 12am.. as our dinner finished around 8pm.. V did managed to come out for yum cha..normally, its jus a mere talk. Jyang our of surprise did join us (we can buy lottery alrdy) and we went to BRJ.. ah mei & christine is nt BHJ~~nearby the area is a park where v accidentally found by mistake.. Nice place for jogging.. Christine proposed for a jog in sun evening..ervy1 couldnt 100% agree coz they need to make arrangement to wake at that time..so good can sleep very WELL... 4th May 2008 Its another Sunday where i canot go back home (get scolded by my mom and sisters) and the time spent is again for PHC.. Me and wan yee doing the slides with graphic.. I adjust the slides into real test print size so that it make my jobs easier later when printing time to avoid any corrections to be made at that point of time. Well, the com lab thr was so hot as no air cond was on. I asked the old lady and she said its nt open in sun..now only i knew after 2 years being here. Meanwhile, christine is adding up her references lists and do her jobs at 2nd floor with air conditioned..so nice. kau tim ervything by 1245..managed to get print them out while wan yee was still finding the books.. Old lady said the system alrdy closed and cant borrow books alrdy. i was so scared of her..she can scold any1 who make noise int he library.. she alrdy told me initially to get down earlier or nt get locked like wat she did to two malay gals some time ago.. the fear still thr but should be okay as i think she alrdy well known of me since she would saw me ervy sunday..i offered help to switch off the ligths in 3rd floor..hehe then we head towards fuk sing for lunch..and again they all puasa nt eating outside.. i tried the kakak BAK KUT TEH claypot for rm5..the soup was dilute but the meat portions quite a lot. initlaly, planned to go McD but was full house.. then head backs to condo.. at home, exchanged com with christine..she using my high speed com with LCD monitor while i using her laptop with the mandarin language input interfering me. We continued our stuff again.. I discuss with wan yee on further graphical touch up to the slides and taught her on referencing which she need to do tomolo since we didnt managed to borrow books back.. Sumwhere in the middle of discussion, house mate lao ma back liao.. she went to giant to buy stuffs. its the first time i blog on the day of the event itself.. hahha.. at the late hours.. 2moro need to go for attachment and tomolo will meet the juniors agaiN~~ when can i play cabal online????????even alvin started and reached level 3.. i hav lots of dvd in my home.. when can i actually watch them..
