This is a newly opened restaurant in Taman Connought. Many had give their negative feedback on this restaurant. So, we take this chance to experience the truth. Let's begin with their menu:

These are the set menu which cost RM 9.90 each. Previously when it is newly opened, they offer the same price without drinks. Now, it is a choice of drink or tong sui.

The ala carte prices seem expensive. The portion of food is same like if you go fuk sing.

woW! The price of the barley (fu chuk yin mai) costs rm 3.90. The portion.. you will see later..scroll down..

The drink to be specific is only Lime Juice.. no other choices

This is the expensive barley which little ingredients inside. Nothing special but shocked to learn the high price.

This setting quite nice..one good thing is that the air cond is still on despite less people, all the fans modern type also switch on as well as the small lamp on top of each table. I guess they haven't receive their electrical bill yet. Definitely, there will be changes next month~haha

HmmM.. the receipt bears no restaurant name or food name. What a lousy place~ Luckily, they didn't charge service tax. I don't feel like any1 serving me at all.

Police beat closed; scared of criminal threat and contagious disease

WoW! Time to clap hand again...bodohland part 2... (part 1 is datuk shah rukh khan)

According to the Star, a police beat base in the Chow Kit was closed down because the Home Affairs Ministry through Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar calimed the place as unsafe for potentail criminal threat and possibility of being exposed to contagious disease. They named the place as dirty area.

Well, first of all. Let's look back to the histroy. Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Chow Kit and etc was once famous as centre of trades and businesses located in the heart of KL city. 51 years..a very long period indeed.. sad thing to accept that the GOVERNMENT namely the DBKL has failed to restore the glory of the location as what once it belong to. Every 1 know that place is famous for vice and heavily infested with foreigners especially the Indons and Banglas. The place has lost their identity and now is no longer a place to visit but a place to stay away. Who fault it is to be? No one shall be put in blame, BUT the DBKL shall do something to revert the current scenario. We cant let the foreigners ..wonder they have legal permit or nt.. to make use the place as their base. How the Malays especially those from Kampung Baru nearby going to compete with the Indons with much lower salary for their business?

One shall feel in strange when walking around the Chow Kit area. Too many Indons everywhere can be spotted. Do you feel safe to be there? If you 'terjalan salah' especially at the night time to the backlanes, you can see many pretties regardless of male or female posing along the street. I myself had went through such experience at night but not at Chow Kit, it's at Bukit Bintang area. It's really disgusting!!

Here comes the funny thing. Police beat was closed down because of fear of safety. OMG!! If the police are scare and worry about the safety, how bout the citizens staying around the area? HEY..we, the normal citizen has no GUN...you..the police..if there is a safety threat... you still have your gun to protect yourself. You have the authority to detain any suspects and even the handcuff. What do we own? We only have handphone to call 999 in case of emergency... that also need to wait very long and depend on severity of cases.

contagious disease? If this is the case, there will be NO doctor in this world..caused doctors are the easiest group to be transmitted due to the contact.. NO hospital will then accept contagious disease cases..bravo to Datuk Syed Hamid for making such statement@~~

This is what Dr Mohd Hatta said during the debate in parliament:

“The minister has to resign if he is worried about the safety of police in that area. Maybe it would be better to put the beat base in army barracks”. “The police are there to make a place safe. If they themselves are scared and run away, then how can we hope for others to want to be there? “It is embarassing and that is why the criminals will always be there,” he said.

I strongly agreed to the point that police based should be build in army barracks. 100% guarantee safe! My suggestion is that if you scare of safety, you should build a BIGGER base or build police station at existing premises available PLUS add MORE polices working in any period of time. AND not RUNAWAY!!! We shall made those criminers fear of the place and NOT let the criminal chase the people away!

Haiz.. The Home Minister has been giving a lot of illogical excuses since holding this portolio. This thing never happened during his time as Foreign Minister. My good impression to you has gone. Remember what he said for detention of the newspaper reporter?--> its because of fear of her safety which mean ISA is no longer for country safety but its for personal safety. When comes to Teresa Kok, the police instead asked her to increase her own security..but this time ISA is not used to protect her safety. WEIRd...weird... bodohland...Malaysia Boleh!!!

For volunteering during the GPF you can join our Service Project. Please join our service project! The Service Project will take place on Oct. 18th in Kampong Kerinchi. The Kuala Lumpur City Council will provide all our necessary equipment and we will spend the whole day in the area and clean up and paint as many blocks we can. We are gonna have lunch with the locals who are facilitating the 1.500 meals and maybe even help to load the 5 trucks waiting for the waste to be recycled.

As you know the Ministry of Education fully supports our project "The Power of 10 cents", so please look out for any announcements in your university and go all out as soon as your teacher adresses it! The initiative will work with the volunteers from UNICEF we are sending. This initiative is not even about the money, it is an awareness-campaign, about extreme poverty.The main goal of the GPF is to promote family values and through shifting our thinking from the self-centered "i feel good about myself, because i help others" to "there is no 'other', the people we are talking about are my family!" we are exactly making that difference. Please be part of this!

Before that, I would like to take this opportunity to condemn the uni! UCSI has agreed to send at least 2 buses to join the event and today, i saw the letter signed by Mr Sudesh stating it was actually THREE buses. Up to now, there is only 4 students who are interested with 1 had register while the rest not yet. What a terrible uni! Mr Teryy had identified the person but he didn't mention who was to person who make such promise. Accordingly, the person said ' I don't care. die die also send 100 students to the event'.

I was informed that SSLA who had being passed the job of recruiting find difficulty in do so because most of the students are in the midst of exam. Worse still, the heavy responsibility was given to a normal member, Leon whom I met today. Pity him. As some of you might notice, there is a GPF banner hung at the school lobby first floor. But sadly, it doesn't attract any1 and worse still not contact number is written. So, how the students want to get themselves involved in this event?

Next thing which I hate so so much. Accordingly, those who may concern had booked two buses for the event. The latest info is that no drivers for both of the day. OMG! What is the meaning of having a bus without the driver? Is this what we called an university status? Many alrdy hate the school system since the bus services no longer a free service but we, the students have to pay to the school for the services charged at a higher price than the market price. Same UNI 'eating' the same UNI students! Lousy !~

The service project is on this Saturday, 18 October at Kampung Kerinchi, PJ. The payment is RM 10/pax but now is FOC. (sometimes it is always good to register late..haha). Food and certificate would be given. (initially dont want to mention as we go there not to get the cert!) So, we need to go there by our own since there is no bus for us. If the number is large, then we shall depart from UCSI using the shuttle. If it is less, then we shall go by our own to BTS LRT station. Then, we will take train till KL Sentral before changing to Putra LRT to Universiti station. At there, there will be people sending us to the kampung using van. I wonder how to ferry 1500 students using unknown number of van. Interesting! This service project will be officiated by Minister of Unity, Cultures, Arts and Heritage... er.. later i figure out who's that). The event is tentatively from 8 am to 5 pm. There family carnival is running at the same time at Bukit Jalil and will be launched by Dato Azalina..what her post now? previously Sport Minister..

Those volunteers will be given a free ticket for entrance on the main celebration the next day, 19 October 2008. On that day, we need to reach by 10 am where we will practise the parade to represent our respective Universities. The official launching will be at 1 pm. At 3pm, there will be a World University Students Assembly. Please take note that this is an international events which we have delegates from other countries..all university students. Then, we can enjoyed ourselves throughout the day and see what can we do there.

Datuk Shah Rukh Khan.. the most ridiculous thing of 2008

Bravo.. when i heard about this news few days ago.. i clapped to myself.. i am certified to live in a place known as 'bodohland'. What's the logical behind the conferment of Datukship to Shah Rukh Khan??

Lets take a glimpse to the news by the Star.

MALACCA: The conferment of Datukship on Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan has stirred up a controversy. Politicians, professionals and the man on the street are hotly questioning the wisdom of the move. Some commented that the actor did not deserve the award as “he hardly knows where Malacca is” and asked whether he had promoted Malacca in his songs and movies. SMSes received by The Star also hit out at the move, saying such awards should be given to local artistes. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said the decision to confer the title on the actor was suggested to Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob by former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin recently. Daim said it was a means to promote Malacca and the actor had shot a movie scene here several years ago.

The movie One 2 ka 4 was shot at the A Famosa Resort in Alor Gajah in 2001. “This resulted in many people visiting Malacca. The award was given in recognition of this,” Mohd Ali said after the investiture ceremony in conjunction with Khalil’s 70th birthday celebrations. Shah Rukh Khan was given the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) which carries the title Datuk. Scores of fans gathered at the Dewan Seri where the investiture cere­­mony was held yesterday to catch a glimpse of the actor. He, however, did not attend the ceremony. Mohd Ali said Daim was making arrangements to bring the actor here to receive the award in a special ceremony. Businesswoman Fatimah Tahir, a huge fan of the star, said she was stunned to hear that he had received a Datukship. “I thought the award is given to those who have contributed towards Malacca’s development. “I wonder whether Shah Rukh Khan even knows where Malacca is,” said the 40-year-old from Taman Melaka Raya. Lawyer Nizam Bashir from Ujong Pasir here also questioned the decision to award Shah Rukh Khan as he had not seen the actor promoting Malacca in his songs or movies. “I am happy for him but does he even know he is getting the award?” said Nizam, 35, adding that it would be more meaningful if deserving local artistes were given recognition. The local artistes who received the Darjah Seri Melaka (DSM) award, which does not carry any title, were singer Goh Eng Boon, popularly known as Andre Goh, comedian Jantan Osman also known as Ali Mamak and 60s singer Mariam Ahmad.

DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said he was not against deserving people being awarded the Datukship but priority should be given to local artistes. He noted that if Shah Rukh Khan deserved the award, then so should Hollywood stars Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones who shot the movie Entrapment against the backdrop of the Twin Towers in 1999.

Ridiculous.. I didn't know that our datukship is so cheap that can be given to any1.. Well, lets look to the previous history. No doubt that he is not the FIRST one to film in Malaysia particularly Malacca. Furthermore, the decision of venue is not made by HIM ..it is the PRODUCER who make the decision..So, why not give the title to the producer instead? Giving datukship to him does not promote Malaysia at all. It will lower our country image as cheap country. Never heard of such way to boost tourism by giving datukship.

In addition, he did not even attend to the official ceremony. Who is bigger status now? The King or Shah Rukh Khan? Want to do a special ceremony just for him? So that the international press can come?? That's is the idea of people who did not study marketing!! Tarnishing the country' images. I doubt he will attend to receive the datukship voluntary. Come on, do you think he is so stupid to take flight to Malaysia spent lets say few hours to receive the awards and go back to India? What can he do with the datukship? Eat? Living? Fame? I predicted that the those who may concern who may want him to attend the function will be giving him some 'remunerations' before he agreed to come. I think he can also think logically.

Personally, I do watch his movie .. those screened in tv3.. Ok la.. still can understand through the subtitle. Having the conferment of datukship is definitely NO and unacceptable to me. Not sure how bout you guys out there. Do you wish to have a Datuk who don't even know Malaysia history? don't even know Malacca? do even contribute a single thing to the country? Well, the increase in no. of visitors is CLAIMED by the people concern. Let me ask you a simple question. How can you measure that due to him the no. of visitors increase? Show me the facts.

Do you guys rmb Anna and the King by Chow Yun Fat and Jodie Foster. Well, the filming take place in Penang. I also can say since then a lot of ppl go Penang and even attracted me to go there. So, the next awards will go to him? This is just a simple example. Many international actors or actresses have done so.

Come on la.. my country. What Australia condemned Malaysia is quite true. Malaysia is good at promoting this and that but reality wise there is no quality just mere talk. Just see the Ferris Wheel at Titiwangsa.. i personally object to this construction as i think it is cheating the tourists money. A place of interests must be a permanent structure .. it cannot be like you build it for temporary ..gained some profit from the cheating and then relocate to another state and start the wheel of cheating again! I found nothing at Titiwangsa .. those live there should know that place is nothing there.. if you went there be4, the surroundings are placed with colourful board with place of interests in Malaysia. This is so fake~

Can we object the conferment? If it is the will of the King , definitely no comment..we must abide. But if it is the will for some quarters who ran out of idea and give rubbish idea, we shall not do so..

UCSI part time models, Tuesday 7/10/2008

Interesting day for all of us. We have been called to become models for UCSI marketing purposes. I got the sms from XY to bring my camera at last minutes. So, I only able to charge the batteries for about 2 hours which seem not enough and it was proven. (every1 knew my batteries profiles..haha) But thanx to her, if not we will miss out the pictures with the handsome looking yet fierceful Mr Jony. Besides that, we can utilized out time by having our own photography session..

Am I gaining weight??R- The no paid models Mr. Prakash, the cameraman was seen handling with the colours of solution for better effect of the pictures. Water leakage again! It started as small leakage but no action was taken at that time. So, i assume the plumbers may still in the Hari Raya Holidays and thus x working for that particular day. The leakage is small enough to disturb my sleep and it continued till the weekends. Yet, no one come to attend to this problem and again i told myself, it's still holidays. Alright, i not know sure whether thr is any plumbers working on public holidays but one thing for sure, if the problem is left unattended, it may cause a major lost in terms of costs and wastage of water. I don't think its hard to find one if you want to compare the bigger loss if the problem persists. Or probably, the management has no idea on what is happening. One thing about Malaysians perhaps is lack of civic minded as they tend not to report such similar case unless if it give impacts to themselves. Btw, I had bad experiences handling with similar case last time. I argued and sort of scolded the guards for the slow respond to the leakage. For this time, I assume there is someone who reported the case.

When i was back from uni, the water supply was cut off. I was informed that there was water leakage in Block C and B as well (what a coincidence). The supply was on back at about 4pm++. So, joy back as I need nt to go other unit to bath. I continued my study and decided to bath later be4 dinner.

6.00 pm ++ - Aiks! Just when I wanted to bath, the water leaks again. And this time is a big explosive leakage. W/o further delay, I stepped out from my room to get the pail to store water. At the same time, I informed my housemates and asked them to quickly bath. All are in shock stage. I went for a 30 sec 'mandi kerbau' session . The water pressure is so low till the heater is not functioning. Luckily, there is another source in the bathroom. So, I managed to clean myself and washed my hair with shampoo.

6.30 pm - Guard arrived.(walau, it took so long for him to reach). All the lower floor is flooded with water including the stairs. 2 lifts take rest (alwiz happen when there is a rain + thunder) leaving only 1 lift functioning and crowded people at p5. 6.50 pm - The water supply is shut down. (walau, it took so long to close the main switch)

8.50 pm - 2 young plumbers arrived. One is holding the McD paper cup. They are discussing LOUDLY on how to repair the leakage while i was studying for tomolo quiz.

9,15 pm - Both of them are out of sight. Thought should be kau tim alrdy.

9.40 pm- They are back for repair. They actually went out to get the equipments required.

10.30 pm - Water supply is on back. From the conversation I heard, they have made temporary sealing for stopping of the leakage. Due to lack of spare parts, they need to re-visit tomolo for further repair.

11.10 pm - As predicted, the water leaks after the repair but with low water current. I quickly brushed my teeth and bath scaring of another shutting of water supply.

11.50 pm - Both of them came back for evaluation of the leak. I not sure how they fixed it. No more water leakage while the supply is still on. However, since then, I heard a loud turbo voice of a machine. Not sure what it is, but it comes from somewhere nearby the site of incidence. OMG~ I need to bear with the noise the whole night! After some time, late in the night, no such noise is then heard. Weird~

9.50 am - The repairmen arrived. I'm not sure what they had done but the leakage is still there until after some time, no more leakage occurs.

11.00 am - I saw a man removing the clothes used to wrap the sealing area/point of joint btw existing pipe and newly replaced pipe. OmG! To my surprise, while removing, the water starts to leak gradually. Really 'no eye see'. Well, dont bother it first..Need to go uni for DFD quiz.

4.10 pm- When I was home, I was informed by housemate that there is no water supply.

4.20 pm- Me and Christine then went to Jasmine' s house to bath. Aiks.. refugee asking for shelter~

4.40 pm- A repairman asked Joanne who happened to be at kitchen's sink from lower floor whether we have water or nt. He then explain to us the situation and told us that the current water supply may be in low pressure as they do not want to agitate or over stress the sealing at the joint btw the existing pipes and the newly replaced pipes. I then found out that the repairmen not only tell us but also to others as well. This has never happened be4 where they will inform you on the situation.

What I like despite the bad experience is the RESPONSIBILITY and good service shown by the repairmen. If you are a responsible person, you are highly sought for employment and gain trust as well as confidence by people around you. However, if YOU are not..yea YOU….then your whole life will be messy, disorganized and dependent on others (eg. a baby who need ppl to feed everything). It’s not wrong to be dat it’s just a disgrace.

Selamat Hari Raya~!!

I think it is more appropriate for me to say Happy Raya Holidays.. haha.. I had a miserable 1 week holidays with everyday had no choice but MUST study altough the time may not be enough to read all. Had to think twice for invitation to go out as procastinator champ (ME) will never have sufficient time..haha Yesterday, my bro in law asked me to draft a simple greeting message in BM. Wow..long time din use BM.. will try use it one day for blogging if i able to find a suitable topic.. This is how the message looked like: Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! kepada anda dan sekeluarga. Sambutlah dengan riang dan gembira. Haha.. any comment?

Well, i saw something interesting in the news an hour ago.. Some 160 Hindraf supporters visited the annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by the Prime Minister at PWTC. I saw the group was shouting something but wasn't cleared what it is. It seem they have been denied for entry to the PWTC hall.

So, according to the Star, the group together with their children met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. He was given a teddy bear and a Hari Raya card by six-year-old W. Vwaishhnavi, the daughter of Hindraf (Hindu Rights Action Force) chairman P. Waythamoorthy. But of course, the news do not show this.. they only potray the drawbacks of these groups.

Continue read the news: Waythamoorthy’s wife K. Shanti said the card contained a message asking Abdullah to release Hindraf Internal Security Act (ISA) detainees. Waythamoorthy has been living in London since last December after his colleagues M. Manoharan, P. Uthayakumar, V. Ganabatirau, R. Kenghadharan and K. Vasanthakumar were detained under the ISA for organising a protest rally in November, 2007.

“Our message is that we want our heroes released. It is an open house and we can come as we want. During Hari Raya, you are supposed to ask for forgiveness.“So we forgive Umno’s sins against the Indian community. We just want the detainees released,” said Shanti.

Clad in orange T-shirts, the supporters gathered outside the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) around 11am on Wednesday and joined the public queue at noon. After about an hour, they were ushered into one of the dining halls but did not get to meet Abdullah.“We are not here for the food and drinks. We want to pass a message to the Prime Minister,” said Shanti.

Undeterred, they exited and re-entered via the entry meant for VIPs, causing a loud commotion as security personnel tried to restrict them.

After 10 minutes, a compromise was reached and the group was allowed to join the public queue to greet the Prime Minister. They waited patiently and managed to pass the teddy bear and card to Abdullah at about 2pm.

Well, do i heard it wrong? HINDRAF forgive UMNO sins? I dun think is possible even though with the release of the detainee. See, every 1 know that not those written under Malaysia Constitution have the rights or being in the power of ISA but is the party start with an U initial.

Back to Raya, my mom's 'friends' gave her lemang and ketupat with rendang chicken and satay beefs. So, I got the chance to taste Malay foods again. The foods is nice but not recommendable for frequently consumed. As you all know, a lot of 'santans' and chilis & meats containing 'luxurious' layer of fats.
