Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek is the new MCA President!!

Breaking news! Finally, the delegates made the right choice to select the right No.1 party man to head the party. Dr. Chua had garnered 901 votes while Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting had 833 votes and finally Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat had 578 votes.

A brief flashback of the past.
  1. OKT who had made a comeback by claiming to save and reunite the party was indeed seen as planned earlier. Why in the world he want to save his once led party NOW and NOT when the crisis of leadership of OTK started? As many said, he who was once said that he did not want to interfere the party affairs after resignation, shall instead mediate or become the middleman between OTK and CSL. His move to contest for the President post has no benefits in term of long run. I wouldn’t blame him for the previous GE results, overall it is not the party problem but more to BN leadership crisis. Yea, that sleeping man has gone.
  2. Next, is OTK. I salute him for his strong efforts to eradicate corruption especially involving the MCA leaders. What he had done must be respected by all but not when come to leadership. When you are a President of a party, you have your party men as well. You need to work well with them and ensure good relationship within the top management. OTK was seemed to be a sole ranger who made decisions before consulting to his members namely his Deputy and his CC members. I know you may feel great to handle all this issues alone but they are also part of the party who need to be respected because they are elected members into working committee. His effort to sideline CSL previously has created a great rejection from the party members as CSL is an elected Deputy and shall be given the appropriate tasks and not be left alone with no clear job descriptions. Your failure today must be credited to your own fault for being selfish, ignorant to the people views and do not delegate tasks appropriately to your members.

Dr. Chua Soi Lek past

Dr. Chua Soi Lek was indeed the right choice! He has good track records in serving the party and the people. I knew he had made a mistake previously. However, he admitted his mistakes and apologized to the people, at least he had the dignity and courage to admit. He resigned and then made a comeback. The MCA delegates chose him back and forgive his mistakes.

So, what is the problem with everyone talking about his past? In few days before the election today, there are a group of women self called the No Adulterer President movement making a protest by dressing in black, donned in green hats made of hard paper and wore face masks with the words “No Adulterous President”.

Shame on you these women. WHO IN THE WORLD ARE YOU TO PUNISH DR CHUA WHEN HIS WIFE HAD FORGIVEN HIM? I am pretty sure they are somebody behind their move. Otherwise, where in the world they have such an ample time to buy mask and made the hat to do such protest. Totally irrelevant and why in the world you people making the protest now when the election draws near and not any other time. So, did you girls receive any financial compensation? Answer yourself. No one is perfect and everyone has their hidden past. Now, answer me:

  1.  Have you ever bribe a policeman or the government authorities?
  2. Have you ever dump your rubbish everywhere be it on the road, at the roadside, throw into a lake , river and etc?
  3. Have you ever take advantages of your friends weakness or stab back your friends?
  4. Have you ever done something illegal by law?
If your answer is yes, then you are not in a good position to judge CSL. This is all his private life and he has no intention to tell others. So, are those who set up cameras at different angle, distributing the DVD and made allegation to CSL is very good moral people?

Dr. Chua Soi Lek now and the future.

I believe he can handle all the various fractions in the party well. Datuk Seri Liong Tiong Lai, the new Deputy President secure his post winning a slight margin with 1171 votes vs Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha with 1106 votes. I would say the delegates made a good choice too. With CSL and LTL teaming up the top post, I am sure the two fractions from these two people can unite and subsequently unite the low fractions of OTK and OKT. On top of that, LTL doesn’t seem to have problem working with CSL so long that CSL can lead well and do not make solo decisions without consulting his members.

CSL is a man of no nonsense. He made solid decision and will not simply promise anyone to seek popularity. He was also the one who travel from state to state after the GE losses to get feedback from the grassroots members and understand to their predicaments. Hence, he know well about the party problems and with the power entrusted to him as a President, I believe he can made his plan and solutions more effectively.

With the upcoming by-election in Hulu Selangor, I see the possibility of BN winning back to the seat since the PKR incumbent won with a thin majority. There are uncertainty with the PKR now as well as DSAI, so with PAS. I believe with the full force of MCA , MIC and UMNO, the seat can be reclaimed back only if UMNO do not make noise of fielding an UMNO candidate.

With the new leadership, I believe all the previous problems have now settled. Lets forget the past, close ranks and move forward to have a better MCA for the betterment of the Chinese society.

Congrats to Dr. Chua Soi Lek!!!

Cyclone Car Wash @ Cheras BHP Station

Are you a car owner? Do you feel lazy at all time when it comes to washing car? Do you wash your car only when your parents scolded you for being lazy and dirty? Do you feel that car washing session may be too long and taking up your time and energy?

I know your time is precious and valuable as your are handling millions dollar business. So, the solution for you is Cyclone Car Wash which is available at most BHP Petrol Station nationwide.

Cyclone Car Wash is a fully automatic car wash system of which the motorists just need to drive through and have their car wash in just few minutes.

The above is the first entry point where water is applied to your car basically from the top and the both side of your car. This wetting stage is for just a short duration.

The second stage is washing thoroughly using high pressurised water. The staff will wash the outer body of the car and will clean your car's rim.

The third stage will be application of foams all over your car.

Foam to the windscreen.

Foam to the side mirror. After the foaming process, a pale of water is then poured to clear away the foam.

The fourth stage is the cleaning stage. You have to drive into  the correct lane position and once you have done, you need to put your gear to neutral and DO NOT PRESS YOUR BRAKE.

Aik, how come not moving? Well, you need to wait for a while before your car will be automatically move forward. Steady..

Alright, the super big and rough alike texture rugs is spinning now.

Water is applied on the windscreen again which mean the next step is to clean this part.

I see nothing. Where am I?

The large cleaning rugs is rolled down.

After cleaning, water is applied again. At this point of time, your car looks crystal clean and clear.

Yea.. this picture to exactly describe the previous.

Towards the end, your car will be reaching directly under this crossbar. Do not worry and do not press your brake. The crossbar seem like going to hit your car but don't worry, it will not. Steady la..

After that, you need to drive out and the staff will wipe away the water especially on the windscreen and side mirrors.  Then, you will be asked if you want to polish your tyre for additional RM 1. Otherwise, pay the fee and you are done.

You can wash your car engine for RM 15. As for me, I do not know what is the correct way of washing your engine. There must be a specific procedures that they charge you RM 15.

Washing fees
  1. Vary depend on location.
  2. Taman Connought BHP station: RM 3 per wash (Those days, RM 2 only)
  3. Taman Midah BHP station: RM 4 per wash
  4. Genting Kelang BHP station: RM 4 per wash (During CNY, they increase the price to RM 6 per wash)
Issues
  1. Cleaning is fast and save up your time.
  2. Some claim that such cleaning procedures wills scratch your car. They claimed that materials like stone and rought texture of the rugs can scracth your car.
  3. For old cars, no worry for washing and cleaning.
  4. For new cars, perhaps you need to think twice.
As for comparison, the manual car washing at Esso Station at my area costs RM 6 (normal wash) and RM 7 (wash + vaccum). These both charges included the polishing of your tyre.

So, what do you think? It is safe for washing your car at Cyclone? I know you are a lazy type, so the answer is definitely yes. Save time, save energy and CHEAP. Haha. =P.

No sweat

The temperature in KL is rising day by day. Fortunately, it seems to be raining every single night recently. When we are under the hot sun, how could it be possibly that we do no sweat?

Sweating is making us to have unpleasant feeling. You will feel some moisture at your arm pit and might be dripping too. It become more disturbing when your cloths are wet by the sweat and everybody is looking at your arm pit. You feel ‘not good’ but not to the extent of shame because everybody do sweat. It will become worse when the sweat produces odour that not only unpleasant to yourself but to the people surrounding you.

I think I read from yenniesblog that vinegar can remove the stain on your clothes produced from your sweat. Vinegar has antibacterial activity and thus can remove the stain. Body odour is produced by the action of bacteria on your skin. However, are you going to apply vinegar on your arm pits to prevent the body odour? If you do, then I think everybody will stay away from you. Haha..

>Hence, the ultimate solution is to get yourself a deodorant. For example, you can opt for Adidas Action 3. The 3 actions that it meant here is to function as antiperspirant, anti-odour and active absorbent. It can help to block the pores through which perspiration is secreted.

With that, it can help you to remain sweat free and boost your self confidence. Have a try~

Alma Temple @ Bukit Tinggi, Pahang

The public may not know the presence of this temple at Bukit Tinggi where it houses the famous Colmar Tropicale (aka French Village) and the Japanese Village. For exact location, it can be reached by looking to the signboard when you already at the hill. It is located in the middle between the Bukit Tinggi Golf & Country Resort and the Colmar Tropicale. Before I proceed, you may need to recall your Form 5 History subject where you and I was taught on Vedas, Sanskrits, Ramayana, Mahrabhrata and etc.

The above is the God of Brahma aka the God of Creation. God Brahma is one of the Trimurti beside Vishnu (the preserver) and Siva (the destroyer). One can easily recognises God of Brahma as He appeared with four heads, four faces and four arms. With each head, He continually recites one of the four Vedas.

One of the distinct feature of God of Brahma is He holds no weapons unlike other Hindu Gods. On the four hands, He:
  1. holds a scepter in the form of a spoon which is associated with the pouring of holy ghee or oil onto a sacrificial pyre signifying Brahma as the lord of sacrifices.
  2. holds a 'kamandalu'- a jar made of metal or even coconut shell containing water. The water in this jar signifies the initial, all-encompassing ether in which the first element of creation evolved.
  3. holds a string of prayer beads called the 'akshamala' which He uses to keep track of the Universe's time.
  4. holds the Vedas and sometimes a lotus flower.

The symbols encompassed by God of Brahma.

'Me getting the blessing of God of Brahma'

It is also important to note that you are required to take 4 joss sticks only and start praying to the God of Brahma by going clockwise starting from your 6 o'clock direction. (Requirements for joss sticks may differ from temple to temple). You must of course pray to all 4 headed God of Brahma. This temple is kept clean by His devotees. Offering in terms of money is optional but encourageable for maintenance of the temple.

On the fine day of 2nd day of CNY, I got to opportunity to witness a team of lion dance from KL getting the blessings from the God of Brahma.Let's have a look to my recorded video below.

From this video, I got to know that every lion dance team will seek for blessings from the God before performing to the public. This lion dance team was to perform at the Bukit Tinggi Golf & Country Resort. I had learnt a lot from this temple visit. It is also my first time to step into a Hindu temple apart from the one located at Batu Caves.

This is the main and the only entrance of the temple. Overall, this temple looks simple, clean and well maintained. So, to all readers, if you happen to spend a vacation at Bukit Tinggi, do drop by and get the blessings from the God of Brahma.

Lastly,
Poitu Vaarein!! (Don't understand? Ask your Indian friends, WE are 1 Malaysia!)

*The pictures and the video was taken upon permission from the temple's care taker. All information sources are from Wikipedia. Thanks Raj aka Crabs for some of the information above.

My Favourite Surfing Spot - my room @ Cheras

If you ask me this question, definitely no other places than my own ROOM. Next question probably which house? Answer will be at Cheras Condo.

Those days, I always think and experience faster connection and more stable line at Setapak house rather than Cheras. Those my friends should know that my connection at Cheras sucks terribly. There is something wrong with my wireless modem till my usual best connection at 18.0 Mps, usual connection at 11.0 Mps and late night connection at 2.0 Mps. OMG! How to survive with such connection?

With 11.0 Mps, I have to open one site by one site. If I open them in one shot, the connection will turn to ‘hang’ mode and then the connection suddenly turned off. Blogging becomes difficult as when I upload large number of photos, connection will be terminated half way. The blog post at the editor may not be saved . I have to wait a long time for the connection to re-establish and then check again whether the post is saved or not. If yes, thanks God, I can carry on with uploading and making the post, whereas if not, SH#T, I need to re-do again! Sometimes, when I make a blog post, I may experience ‘n’ times connection problem making me feel very frustrated and end up complete the blog post at Setapak.

On one fine day, thank God for making the modem to be on error. I can’t connect the whole day. I contacted the Streamyx hotline at the middle of night and GOSH!! , the operator gave me wrong information on my connection problem. Hence, I was unable to connect my Internet till I called them again the next day and got assisted by a better operator who diagnosed correctly my connection problem.

Why I was so happy with that event? This was because it induced me to get another new modem from my future brother-in-law. It was a free modem from TMNET when he applied for his streamyx. When I tested at home, it seem ok for the first few days and turn bad the following day. Nonetheless, I had replaced the Cheras modem with this one. And the result was TERRIBLY GOOD!!! Initially, I have to resort to buy a new antenna for the old modem to see any improvements with the line. Yea.. the line definitely better than previously but then the connection still flip-flop (suka-suka on, suka-suka off-quoted by Wee Ling). Since the outcome of this modem was superb, it served as our saver in the house.

With the new but a bit lousy modem, the best connection is 56.0 Mps. The usual connection is 36.0 Mbps and the usual low connection at 11.0 Mbps. OMG! Can you see the difference? I can now upload VIDEO to YouTube without failure which is impossibly done with previous modem! I can now open multiple blog sites for my daily blog visiting with facing any problems. When I go back Setapak to blog, I realized the connection there is poorer due to the fact of different plan. Cheras one is RM 88 while Setapak one is RM 66 plan. That’s the reason I love to come back condo to blog now onwards.

My fourth Nuffnang cheque

Hey peeps! Welcome again to my blog! Finally, I had received my fourth Nuffnang cheque. Initially, I plan to receive this cheque during the CNY week. However, due to wrong calculation and my forgetfulness, I was one day late to cash out my payment causing the late reception of the cheque.

The above earning was generated from 1  October to 31 December 2009. As usual, thousand thanks to all my readers who visited my blog frequently. Some even commented regularly and make a daily visit to my blog.

I will try my best to update my blog frequently despite the hectic schedule I am enduring now. There are seriously many posts related to my life, foods, travels and many more that I would like to share with my readers. I really hope I will able to do so.

Last but not least, thanks Nuffnang for being a wonderful advertising company. Not only they provide us the earning opportunity, there are many FOC events, movie tickets, contests and etc.

Thanks for the support! (To view my previous earning, click here)

Hutan Lipur Lentang @ Pahang

Hutan Lipur Lentang aka Lentang Recreational Forest is accessible through the Karak Highway. It is about 5-10 minutes distance from Kampung Bukit Tinggi. At the exit to Lentang of Karak Highway, there is actually a small tunnel connecting from the left side of road to the right side where the forest is located. In case you miss this turning, don't worry. Head on the road few more km until you reach the toll. There is a small space for U-turn at the Smart Tag lane. If you miss this turning as well, no worry. Pay for the toll and right after you pass the toll, there is very big signboard for U-turn at your left side. If you still miss this turning, I think you will go to Kuantan instead. Haha.

This is the top view of the place from where our car was parked at the side of the road. Perhaps, due to the holiday seasons, this designated parking bays at the main entrance was 'full house'.

Let's have a peep on what the public do here. As seen in this picture, we can spot people playing at the river stream and camping.

Increased zoom of the camera spotted a family was having a picnic with a tent built nearby. We can also see how they were shaded by tall trees from the sunny sun.

So, our mission now is to explore this Lentang Recreational Forest. This was my first time visit to here. After you pass the main entrance, you can spot many member of the public were having picnic along the river and the children mainly were having a good time playing at the river, Then, you will reach to the above bridge.

When you are crossing the bridge, you can see the kids swimming and bathing  in the river. This place is perfectly nice for a family members outing especially if there are many kids in the family.

So, while crossing the bridge, I took these pictures. On the left were two kids shaping something on the sand using their hands while on the right was a kid who knew my presence and my camera and obediently pose while I was capturing him. Good boy!

And now, we had reached to the camping site. There were many camps built scattered all over the place. Oh yea.. there is a public toilet at there too. Always remember to keep the public places clean after you had utilise them.

I got a chance to take a picture at one of the camp built. In fact, I invaded their territory. Haha. Don't worry. I am not stealing any of your belongings which were dumped everywhere.

Hey, check out the guy on the left? What was he doing? Peeping something?

A kid with his undies was spotted.

One can also do jungle trekking here.

Taking a picture while holding the short tree trunk. WHY?

Because I can't lift up the big tree trunk. Haha. There is a small plaque written the name of the tree as well. As above, the tree is called 'Jelawal Jaha'. Its botanical name is Terminalia subspathulata King.

I didn't go further deep into the jungle. If you had explored this place, do let me know what is interesting there.

As mentioned earlier, you can drive your car pass the main entrance but it will be fully packed especially during holiday seasons. So, park your car at outside to aovid being struck in the jam inside with limited space.

Now I know the name of the river -->Sungai Benus

Hutan Lipur Lentang is a favourite place among those Pahangians as well as KL citizens due to its short distance from the Karak Highway. The journey from Karak Highway to this place can be as fast as 30 minutes time. If you were planning to have a picnic here, bring your own mat along. There are some food stalls at the main entrance. There are also a public toilet facilities. No parking fees or any other fees imposed here.

Enjoy your weekend!
